Welcome to an organisation for Prop Makers. We aim to provide support to and a community for Prop Makers and other specialists in Prop Making; the Sculptors, Painters, Carpenters, Welders, Set-dressers, Special effects/Prosthetics specialists, Model-makers, Upholsterers working in the Entertainment and Leisure industries.

PropsNet will be a membership organisation that will:

:: Facilitate the search for work

A twice monthly listing of all job seeking members posted online or circulated by email or post, making members details available along with images of recent work to a wide range of prospective employers; Theatre companies, Set builders, Film and TV companies, Advertising companies, Party and Events organisers, Theme park creators, schools and  colleges.

:: Develop the skills base

Short courses run by members and other specialists for members to update skills or learn new ones.

:: Provide links to legal assistance relating to self employment

Direct people to organisations that would be able to give specific advice and solicitors who have agreed to give free consultations.

:: Give information on technological and legislative changes in connection with the work place

Circulate information relevant to the industry.

:: Offer information on and benefits about relevant events and networking parties

An on-line members-only noticeboard displaying relevant events and job vacancies.

:: Offer Careers Advice

A point of reference for schools and colleges or a resource for colleges running courses for students.

Yearly Membership offered on different levels based on years of experience or professional status.

Professional references required. Memberships are;

• Student - for students in final year of accredited courses,
• Provisional - for graduates of 6 months and those from non-accredited courses,
• Full - for those with professional experience,
• Non-professional associate member - for experience in non-professional companies.
